The terms that apply when you use the NYSCALA website and member accounts.

1. Using This Website

This website, nyscala.com, is run by the Citywide Association of Law Assistants of the Civil, Criminal and Family Courts in the City of New York (“NYSCALA,” “we,” or “us”). By using it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

2. Member Accounts

  • Website accounts are for NYSCALA members. We review each request, and an account works only after we approve it.
  • Keep your password private, and do not share your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Members-only pages and documents are for NYSCALA members only. Please do not share them, or your login, with people outside the membership.

3. Information on This Website

This website gives general information for NYSCALA members, retirees, and the public. It is not legal advice. Information can change, so please contact us to confirm details that affect you.

4. Benefits, Plan Documents, and the Contract

Benefits are governed by the official plan documents and the collective bargaining agreement (the contract). If anything on this website differs from those documents, the official documents control.

5. Content and Logos

The NYSCALA name, logo, and website content belong to NYSCALA or are used with permission. You may view, print, and share website content for personal, non-commercial Association purposes. Any other use needs our written permission.

7. Disclaimer

This website is provided “as is.” We work to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot promise that it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, NYSCALA is not liable for damages that result from using this website.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
